Kindred Series

Although loosely inspired by the human anatomy, my “Kindred” series is a body of nonrepresentational contemporary glass sculpture that is meant to push the material boundaries of glass through the principles of ideation and creative design.

Producing this style of handmade glass sculpture is a challenging multi-step process that I have been developing in one way or another for over a decade.

From beginning to end, each piece can take from one to two weeks to produce depending on the complexity of the patterning and surface design, and overall scale of the final Kindred form.

The physical, experimental, and often improvisational nature of this process is what I find truly inspires me to continue developing this series of glass sculptures.
